Elafonisos Eco was honored to participate in a remarkable event hosted by the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation on August 29, 2024, marking the donation of two firefighting vehicles to the Municipality of Spetses. The donation reflects Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou’s commitment to community welfare and environmental sustainability.
Sir Stelios, Founder and Chairman of the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation and creator of the easy family of brands, presented an XUV light firefighting vehicle and a rapid-response firefighting motorcycle.
These vehicles will greatly enhance Spetses’ firefighting capabilities. The ceremony took place at the Aria Mansion of Sir Stelios, attended by the Mayor of Spetses, Mrs. Eugenia Fragia, members of the Municipal Council, representatives of the A.O. Spetses ‘Bouboulina’ sports club, and numerous island residents.
During this inspiring event, Elafonisos Eco seized the opportunity to foster meaningful connections for future collaboration. Our team met with the Mayor of Spetses to discuss joint initiatives aimed at advancing sustainable solutions for island communities.
We had the privilege of presenting our projects to Sir Stelios himself, who generously committed to supporting one of our initiatives aimed at reducing plastic waste on Elafonisos. Details of this project will be announced soon, and we are excited about its potential to create lasting positive change.
