To mark World Environment Day, Elafonisos Eco had the opportunity to take part in a meaningful and joyful event organized by MEDASSET (Mediterranean Association to Save the Sea Turtles) in Elafonisos.
The event, designed for children, was led by Kostas, with the valuable support of a dedicated volunteer, and focused on educating the younger generation about environmental protection and the importance of marine life conservation, especially for endangered sea turtles. Throughout the day, children participated in a variety of fun with an educational and interactive game.
The atmosphere was lively and inspiring, filled with laughter, curiosity, and a genuine enthusiasm to learn about nature. As guests and supporters of the initiative, we at Elafonisos Eco were delighted to see how environmental awareness can be nurtured through playful and accessible experiences. This event reflected the shared values between our organizations: a deep respect for the natural world, a commitment to education, and a belief in the power of community-based action.
