On April 22nd, to celebrate Earth Day, our team of volunteers took our sewing machines out and set up an open-air workshop in front of Milarakia Market. The goal? Create reusable cotton bags live, on-site, and gift them to people doing their grocery shopping.
With reclaimed fabric, creative energy, and a shared desire to make a difference, we turned our corner of the street into a vibrant, eco-friendly sewing station. This initiative aimed to raise awareness about plastic pollution and offer an easy, handmade alternative to disposable bags.
This initiative was made in collaboration with Milarakia Market that works for a more sustainable and plastic-free shopping place.
