Dimitris Markatos has the following action proposals :
-Creation of diving parks and the availability of funds (23 million) for this purpose. The association can work on developing and establishing diving parks in the area.
– Publicizing studies related to diving parks. The association can work on conducting and publishing studies that provide information and insights about diving parks.
-Collaboration among stakeholders: Various stakeholders, such as municipalities, NGOs, local entrepreneurs, restaurant owners, and unions, can come together to create better diving parks.
The association can facilitate collaboration among these stakeholders to ensure the success and sustainability of diving parks.
-The concept of marine protected areas (MPAs) for creating national or even European-level initiatives. The association can explore the establishment of MPAs and advocate for the involvement of states, international organizations, and industries in creating and maintaining these areas.
-Measuring and monitoring the environmental impact of activities. The association can focus on implementing systems and tools to measure the environmental impact of diving parks and other initiatives, enabling data-driven decision-making.
